Fulfillment

Finally, I can show you the project that I had so much trouble with. Fulfillment is a lined bag knit with QED from Sanguine Gryphon. It is knit in pieces, stranded colourwork, and seamed. The fabric lining is made using the knitted pieces as patterns. Sparklies are sewn on after blocking. Here is it! (This picture is Sanguine Gryphon’s, used with permission.)

If you remember this post, a lot of things went wrong while I was working on this design. I ran out of yarn. I injured my wrist. Beads came that were the wrong size. The whole thing got to Sanguine Gryphon late. And knitting in pain meant that the stranding wasn’t as good as it should have been, and I didn’t do a great job sewing the handle in. The pattern includes directions for sewing the handles in, including the step that I missed on mine. But I still like it. I hope you do too!

Congrats on publishing this, Trisha! I’m sorry it was such a challenge for you. It is a wonderful pattern, so beautiful and useful and I love thinking of how to personalize the sparkly additions! What a clever mind you have to design such a wonderful bag. :)

This is breathtaking, my dear heart. I loved it when I saw it come up in my new rav patterns search, but just glanced at it. I love it even more now that I know it came from you.
