Knitting Knee Highs- by Barb Brown

February 27, 2011

I was going to review the book Knitting Knee Highs, by my friend Barb Brown, because I am so proud of her. But then I saw the book, and I have to say that even if I didn’t know her, even if I disliked her a lot, this book would still be worth mentioning. I am so excited by the variety of patterns, the anecdotal writing style, and the fact that I got to knit some of the socks. But I read a review this morning on Go Knit In Your Hat which does a much better job of showing off the book than I could, so please, go have a look. There are lots of pictures, and quotes from the pages as well. Have a look! There is also a Ravelry group that will be hosting KAL’s, where some useful information can be found. (For example, why is the book called Knitting Knee Highs when the socks are clearly shorter on the models?)
