So I was going to write a profound post about yarn and why I love it and all the pretty colors and the mixture of textures and the way yarn just finds me and follows me home.

But, instead, I’ll just say one very important thing. Yarn is an end, in and of itself. It doesn’t need to be anything. It doesn’t need a plan. It doesn’t need a future. If it is pretty or soft or smooshy or a surprising mix of colors or unique or affordable or rare or common or calling to you or asking to go home with you or taunting you or whatever, that is enough to take it home. It doesn’t need a plan, a future. It just needs to make you happy :).

So true – I always say that I love yarn because it represents hope. The possibility of the perfect sweater, shawl, socks…
