Nothing to report

Well, like Abi said, summer vacation is nearly over, and this means big things at my house. Both of my kids will be in full time school, and so I will have my days to myself. I am looking forward to getting time at the gym, I am surprised at how excited I am about this. Also, this means time for design work every day.

I am looking forward to this for a lot of reasons. I will be setting up the rest of my self published designs on Craftsy, and I will be working on some ideas that have been brewing in my mind for the last few months. I plan to submit ideas to magazines, and expand my business. Up until now, everything has just sort of happened. But as of next week, I will be taking charge of my business, striving towards what I want to accomplish. Even if I fail, I will have worked hard. It’s going to be great.

So while I have nothing to report just now, please stand by because I have some exciting things in the works. I have one design out with a sample knitter, and 4 others that I am knitting myself. I can’t tell you about those, really, but I will say this. I asked a friend to try one on for me, because she is a kid and it is a kids item. Her eyes lit up, her hands went above her head a la ballerina, and she twirled with a dreamy look on my face. That, my friends, is my definition of success. For a few minutes, she was in her castle in the clouds.
